ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Workshop Officer to support our Technical Services operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating workshop activities, ensuring proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and contributing to overall operational efficiency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily workshop operations, including repairs, servicing, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and equipment status reports.
- Monitor fleet and equipment performance to ensure optimum uptime.
- Enforce safety, mechanical, and environmental compliance within the workshop.
- Manage workshop inventory, spare parts, and consumables.
- Liaise with mechanics, drivers, suppliers, and contractors.
- Support KPI tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.
REQUIREMENTS
- HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience in workshop or fleet maintenance operations.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Good communication, planning, and reporting abilities.
- Knowledge of safety standards and workshop best practices.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple mechanical tasks.
