Job Purpose:
The Technical Service Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep, servicing, and operational readiness of technical equipment such as generators, mechanical appliances, and facility systems. The role involves conducting routine inspections, diagnosing faults, performing repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and minimize operational downtime. The officer also maintains accurate service records and collaborates with relevant departments to support continuous facility operations and safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on generators, mechanical appliances, and other technical equipment.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct periodic inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service schedules, and equipment logs.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and coordinate quick resolutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to support facility operations and technical needs.
- Recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2–5 years in equipment maintenance, especially generators and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Certification in equipment maintenance or safety procedures is an added advantage.
