HR Assistant – Performance Management

Role Summary

The HR Assistant – Performance Management supports the implementation and administration of the organization’s performance management processes. The role is responsible for coordinating performance review cycles, maintaining performance records, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), supporting goal-setting initiatives, and providing accurate performance data and reports to facilitate employee development and organizational effectiveness. The incumbent will work closely with employees, line managers, and the HR team to ensure a fair, transparent, and efficient performance management system.

Key Responsibilities

1. Performance Management Administration

  • Support the planning, coordination, and execution of the organization’s performance management cycle.
  • Ensure timely distribution, completion, and collection of performance appraisal forms and documentation.
  • Maintain and update employee performance records in HR systems and databases.

2. KPI Tracking and Monitoring

  • Assist in tracking departmental and individual performance goals and KPIs.
  • Monitor performance review timelines and follow up with employees and managers to ensure compliance.
  • Support the alignment of individual objectives with departmental and organizational goals.

3. Data Management and Reporting

  • Compile, verify, and maintain performance-related data and records.
  • Generate periodic reports and performance dashboards for HR and management review.
  • Analyze performance data and provide insights on trends, completion rates, and areas requiring attention.

4. Employee and Manager Support

  • Provide administrative support and guidance to employees and managers on performance management processes, tools, and timelines.
  • Respond to inquiries related to performance reviews, appraisal forms, and performance documentation.
  • Assist in communicating performance management policies and procedures across the organization.

5. Performance Improvement Support

  • Assist in monitoring Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and follow up on agreed action items.
  • Track employee development actions arising from performance reviews.
  • Support HR Business Partners and managers in documenting performance-related interventions and outcomes.

6. Process Improvement and Compliance

  • Identify opportunities to improve performance management processes and administrative efficiency.
  • Ensure performance management activities comply with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity of employee performance information.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, Industrial Relations, or a related field.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in Human Resources, Performance Management, Talent Management, or HR Administration.
  • Experience supporting employee performance review processes is an added advantage.
