Job Responsibilities
- Performs troubleshooting and diagnostics procedure on vehicles and equipment.
Record observations and findings during diagnostic procedure and decide on the correct method of repair, as necessary. - Plan and organize Preventive Maintenance System (PMS) and delegate specific tasks to concerned sections/mechanics.
- Order spare parts for specific equipment.
- Follow up repair orders, registering the time taken to complete each task.
- Responsible for implementing Safety Standards within the various units in the Maintenance workshop.
- Responsible for maintenance and conditioning of Mine Equipment i.e. Water pumps, Gear boxes, Sino Trucks, Caterpillars etc.
- Conduct final check/test driving for all vehicles/plants prior release.
- Provide leadership to the Technical Service Department.
- Prepare and present monthly equipment availability report for previous month and repair/revival plan for the next Month.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by the Executive Management.
- Monitor team effectiveness.
- Ensure proper implementation of all TSD processes in line with OEM specifications/standards.
- Ensure effective usage of work tools & resources to improve machine availability. Track & monitor repair cost using the SAP.
Competencies/Requirement:
- B.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field
- 6-10 years proven work experience in similar role
- Professional Qualification is added advantage
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Proven Track records in Major Machine repairs/overhauling & preventive/predictive maintenance.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft office package, SAP)
- Excellent reporting & planning skill.
- Good communication skill.
