A Crusher Supervisor manages daily crushing operations, ensuring optimal production rates, material quality, and safety compliance. They lead teams of operators, schedule maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and maintain production records to maximize throughput and equipment availability, adhering to safety regulations like MHSA and SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management: Oversee daily crushing, screening, and material handling (ROM stock/feeding) to meet production targets.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations, conduct incident investigations, and manage dust suppression.
Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and coordinate preventative and breakdown maintenance on crushers, screens, and conveyors.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as feed throughput, equipment utilization, and product quality.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage operators, providing direction to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
Requirements and Qualifications
Experience:
- Generally 5+ years of experience in crushing/screening,
- ideally in an opencast mining environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cone and jaw crushers, conveyor systems, and screen settings.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team, solve problems, and manage labor.
- Technical Education: Relevant mining or engineering qualifications
