Job Summary:
To ensure that the organization’s operational processes, systems, and activities comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and statutory requirements, we are seeking an Operations Compliance Officer who will guarantee that the organization’s daily operations, processes, and procedures strictly follow all internal policies, external regulations, and legal obligations. This role serves as a vital link between regulatory frameworks and the practical execution of business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily operational activities to ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, and best practices.
- Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation, including policies, procedures, and checklists.
- Review internal processes to ensure alignment with legal, ethical, and operational standards.
- Support the preparation of reports for management and regulatory bodies.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues or irregularities identified during audits or inspections.
- Collaborate with department heads to implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Keep abreast of new laws, regulations, and guidelines affecting the organization’s operations.
- Provide compliance training and awareness sessions to staff.
- Support the continuous improvement of operational efficiency and internal control systems.
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification in compliance, risk management, internal audit, or operations (e.g., ICA, ACAMS, ISO, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an operational, internal audit, quality assurance, or compliance role, with direct exposure to business processes and controls. Experience within a regulated industry is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of operational risk, internal controls, and process mapping. Proficiency in using governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) software or tools for monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills to examine complex operational data, identify patterns of non-compliance, and conduct root cause analysis.
- Exceptional ability to communicate compliance requirements to non-compliance personnel and to build strong working relationships with operational teams.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to reviewing documents, testing controls, and documenting findings.
