Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PR strategy to effectively reach client companies and communities
- Create strategic and effective community outreach programs
- Organize local events to promote company’s goodwill and business interests.
- Managing/Resolving Host Community Issues
- Build and maintain relations with individuals, community stakeholders and organizations that can support company’s goals and business interest
- Ensuring departmental compliance with the company wide administrative/management directives
- Maintain a keen understanding of issues affecting client companies and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them.
- Incorporate required communications activities, outreach and events to achieve the corporate communication goals.
- Write and/or review assigned press releases, success stories, quarterly and annual reports, features and briefs for publication on Etazuma Mining & Industries website and other channels.
- Managing and maintaining contact with Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and other interest groups to keep abreast of their advocacy activities that may affect the etazuma mining and industries ltd or its client companies.
- Managing Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities, including assessment and making recommendations to the HOD on requests for CSR support from individual and groups, documenting Company’s CSR engagements, and issuing appropriate reports therefrom.
- Proactive identification of potential issues and crises related to the Etazuma Mining & Industries in Nigeria and providing solutions.
- Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on a going basis.
- Prepare and submit reports to Executive Management and implement EM’s Directives.
- To discharge other responsibilities to be assigned by the Executive Management
Competencies/ Requirements / Qualifications
- BSc degree in Public Relations, International Relations, Communication or related fields (Msc. Degree & professional membership/certification is an added advantage)
- 5 – 10 years Proven work experience in Corporate Relations Role
